Inspiration
Do you find it hard to love others deeply in times like these? When our churches and schools aren't what we're used to, When bad news fills the headlines and hatred floods social media When the world is filled with so much violence. How do we love those who don't agree with us, say bad things about us, or are just hard to love? The command from God is simple - show deep love for each other, for love covers the multitude of sins. It's hard to be nice and loving when things are hard right now. However, God doesn’t ask us to do something we can’t do. If you find it difficult to love and forgive others, it is helpful to remember all the things you have been forgiven for. Despite our unworthiness of God's love, He gave it freely to us. He forgave you, loved you, and rescued you. Because you’ve been forgiven and loved when you didn’t deserve it, you can begin to forgive and love others around you when they don’t deserve it. Choose to love the people in your life today.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unconditional love and grace. Thank You for sacrificing Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, for my sins, even though I did not deserve it. I am forever grateful for You. May I always reflect Your love and shine Your light unto the people around me so that they may be drawn to You and experience Your perfect love. Teach us to love, to encourage and to forgive without limit or condition, without dissimulation, in imitation of Jesus. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
