Inspiration
In our search for the perfect way to pray, we often overlook the fact that God simply desires us to have a continuous connection with him regardless of the type, the timing, or even the words we use. As Paul instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we should never stop praying. When we pray, some people believe our eyes must be closed, and others believe we must pray according to a script or for a specific amount of time. Prayer without ceasing, however, prevails over all of these guidelines. God desires a continuous connection with you rather than a format. You can pray on your knees, or you can pray standing up. You can pray in the morning or while you are lying in bed at night. You can pray out loud or simply whisper, “Help me, Lord,” when you’re in trouble. Even when you don't know what to pray for, you can pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you in your prayers and let God speak to you. We can learn a lot about prayer from the Word of God, but what God wants most is our unceasing prayers. The more you pray, the deeper your relationship with God becomes, and the more clearly you'll recognize His voice.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, You know every thought, every desire, every worry I have in my mind. I come to You and invite You to work on my mind and heart so that they are aligned with Yours. Thank You for answering my prayers. Although Your response may not always be what I expected, I know you have bigger and better plans in mind. Thanks for making me part of Your plan. Please help me to pray without ceasing and strengthen my relationship with You as I learn more about You every day. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
