Hebrews 1:3

Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
- Jesus
- Glory
- Salvation
- God
- Power
Hebrews emphasizes the supremacy of Christ as a major theme. When faced with persecution, it is tempting to follow the crowd. At that time, Jewish Christians would have faced pressure to return to Judaism instead of continuing as Christians. Hebrews begins with four verses that introduce the idea that Jesus is the better way. Jesus' divinity is also supported by this verse. These words imply that Jesus Christ is, in fact, God. There is now a perfect Man, a member of the human race, seated at the right hand of the Divine Father, who sits on God's throne in the dazzling brightness of His radiant splendor. His hands and feet bear the scars of the nails that pierced His innocent flesh. By believing in the Name of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus accomplished all this so that you and I could be forgiven of our sins. Through His powerful Word, the Son has made purification for the sins of you and me. As He now sits at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He awaits the day when He will return to receive us into Himself so that, where He is, we may also be.
Dear Heavenly Father, the fact that Jesus bought me back from death and hell with His precious blood fills my heart with awe and wonder. It is a blessing to know that Christ's work has been completed, my sins have been forgiven, and I have been redeemed. Thank You, Lord, that after Jesus finished His work, He sat down at Your right hand and is now making intercession on my behalf. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
John 7:28
Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
