Inspiration
In verses 1 through 4, Jesus is described as being superior to any angel, both in terms of authority and power. In verse 5 of Hebrews 1, the author describes specific Old Testament evidence that supports this claim. According to the prophets, Messiah Jesus Christ is neither a created being nor a spiritual force. As God's only Son, He is superior and unique. Jesus was that little baby boy, born 2000 years ago in Bethlehem, who was given by the Father to redeem mankind from its sins. As the child of Mary lay in a manger so long ago, this was the eternal God who clothed Himself in vulnerable humanity. Since He was the visible image of the invisible God, He was truly the only begotten Son of the Father. In the most profound and biblical sense, the Lord Jesus was begotten upon His glorious Resurrection. After His resurrection from the grave, Christ became the first begotten from the dead. When He rose from the grave, the Father was able to say, "This day I have begotten Thee."
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for my sins. Upon believing in Christ's finished work at Calvary, my sins were forever forgiven, and my life was redeemed. Thank You for raising Christ from the dead and making Him the first-begotten from the dead, and thank You for giving me life, eternal life, and life more abundantly through Him. May I never forget how much it cost You to have the new life in Christ, and may I live my life for Your honor and glory. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
