Inspiration
For everything, there is a season. Grass withers, flowers fade, leaves fall, and snow melts. As human beings, we go through seasons too. The health of our bodies will deteriorate as we age. There will come a time when we have to face death. Few things in nature and the world around us last forever. However, there is one thing that will never change - the Word of God. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Going through changes can be difficult, but we can always rely on God for strength, guidance, and hope. The Hebrew Word translated as “stand” in this verse is “qum”, which actually means to “rise up”. So this verse is not just talking about the solid foundation of hope we can find in the Scriptures, but it is also saying that the Word of God will “rise up”. A few generations later, John turned Isaiah’s words into a prediction of the resurrection because Jesus rose up from the dead. The Word has risen! Grass withers, flowers fade, and humans are no different. Our possessions will all soon vanish, but our future is secured if our foundation is based on the solid rock of God's unfailing Word.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your everlasting Word that never fails. You know everything before it happens. I trust that You will provide for me, guide me, and give me a bright future. Help me learn from my failures and give me the strength to face the challenges that I face today. Renew my mind and heart to be in communion with You so I can live obediently according to Your Word. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
