Inspiration
Our journey of faith is not always an easy one. In fact, it can be a struggle at times. Jesus calls us to strive to enter through the narrow gate, which means we need to put in effort and work to follow Him. The narrow gate is not a popular choice because it requires us to make sacrifices and give up things that we may hold dear. It requires us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. But the reward of entering through the narrow gate is worth the struggle. It leads to eternal life and a deep relationship with God. We must be careful not to assume that just because we attend church or do good deeds, we will automatically enter through the narrow gate. It takes more than just religious activities to follow Jesus. We must have a personal relationship with Him and actively strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Let us not be like the many who seek to enter but will not be able to. Instead, let us strive to enter through the narrow gate and follow Jesus with all of our hearts. We cannot fully experience the joy of a life lived for Him unless we put in the effort and work needed to grow in our faith.
Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to always strive to enter through the narrow door, to seek You with all my heart, and to walk in the path of righteousness that leads to life. Give me the strength to resist the distractions and temptations that try to pull me away from You and the wisdom to discern Your will for my life. Help me to prioritize my relationship with You above all else so that I may inherit eternal life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
