Inspiration
Proverbs 10:17 states, “He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.” Instruction is not just a set of guidelines to follow but the very path to life itself. The verse contrasts those who accept guidance and those who reject it. Embracing instruction leads us closer to truth and righteousness, while resisting correction leads to error and missteps. A wise person is open to being corrected, understanding that each correction is an opportunity to grow and refine character. Life can be difficult, and along the way, we will make mistakes, but through willing hearts that listen to correction, we can be steered back to the right course. The refusal to accept guidance leads us into dangerous territory where we might not be able to return. As we seek God’s wisdom, we must allow His Word to direct our paths and not shy away from His loving reproof.
