Psalms 118:22

Inspiration
In Psalm 118:22, the Psalmist declares that the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This verse is prophetic, as it speaks of Jesus Christ, who was rejected by the religious leaders of his day but ultimately became the foundation of the Christian faith. What a powerful reminder that God's ways are not our ways and that He often uses the things that the world considers foolish to accomplish His purposes. We may feel rejected or overlooked by others, but in God's eyes, we are valuable and essential to His plan. Let us take heart and trust that He is working all things together for our good. Furthermore, this verse speaks to the importance of standing firm on Christ as the cornerstone of our lives. When we build our lives on anything else, we are building on a faulty foundation that will ultimately crumble. But when we build our lives on the rock of Christ, we can withstand any storm that comes our way. Let us hold fast to Him, trusting that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in awe and gratitude for Your great love and grace. Thank You for the cornerstone that You have set, the one that the builders rejected, but that You have made the foundation of my life. Help me to always remember that my strength comes from You and that I am nothing without You. As I face challenges and difficulties, may I cling to the truth that You are with me and that I can trust in Your plan for my life. May I build my life on the solid foundation of Your love and truth, and may everything I do bring glory to Your holy name. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
