Inspiration
Hopeless situations steal our joy and dry up every drop of motivation in us. Heartbreaks and disappointments leave us in a mournful state and darken every ray of light in our lives. These are moments when words from loved ones fail to console us, and we feel like giving up. However, in a time like this, we need God the most. Nehemiah 8:10 says, "the joy of the Lord is your strength." When the Holy Spirit of God comes upon you, He opens up the floodgate of joy that overwhelms you and gives you an experience that cannot be explained. God has the power to turn things around. But He wants you to have faith in Him and not man. When the children of Israel reached the Red Sea, and it was impossible for them to cross it, they turned and saw the chariots of their former enslavers rushing down to capture them. At this point, all hope was lost, and fear gripped them. However, God parted the Red Sea, and they crossed, rejoicing. God is still in the business of doing miracles. He said in His Word that He would console you, and give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). He is ever faithful.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word says weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. I trust Your Word and believe You can turn my mourning into dancing. Fill my heart with Your joy and peace that surpasses human understanding. Put off my clothes of mourning and cloth me with joy. Turn my ugly situation around in such a way that people who knew me in my days of sorrow will not be able to recognize me anymore. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
