Inspiration
When navigating grief, it seems nearly impossible to escape the pain. People will tell you to stop worrying, but that's not as easy as it sounds. You can search the internet and come up with stages, steps, and ways to cope, but the reality is that there isn't a right way to deal with grief. Healing takes time, but when we dwell in that dark space, it feels like forever, and we wonder if it will ever end. It's in these places that we realize how much we need something bigger than ourselves. Fortunately, we are not hopeless. This verse reminds us that God is not only present with us but near. Near to the pain we feel. Near to the loss, we can’t fill, near to the needs we have and can’t yet express. He is always available and close to those who suffer. Not only is He near, but He stays with us and will help us get through. He is not surprised or deterred, no matter how deep the brokenness feels. Our strength comes from praying and believing that the pain we are feeling won't crush our spirits, just as God promises in His Word. If you have a difficult time escaping the darkness today, spend time alone with God. He is always near, and you can rest assured that He will restore your heart.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you with a broken heart. I am powerless to defeat the darkness, but I know I am not alone. As we work through these issues and fears together, I pray that you will restore my wholeness so I can rejoice in you no matter what. Fill me with the light of your Spirit so I can arise from this state of darkness. Teach me to cast all my worries on you. I am so thankful for Your unconditional love and blessings. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
