Inspiration
There are three immovable words of instruction the word of God gives in this verse. Why? Because they must be necessary for the successful living of believers. The first thing is to rejoice in hope. Rejoicing is a matter of a strong decision to overlook what ills are plaguing the present moment and hook onto something divine. To rejoice in the face of evil takes sacrifice and strength. I admonish you to keep the hope of Christ’s salvation alive as you rejoice through these sufferings that only last for a while. The next thing is to be patient in tribulation. This means tribulations will come, but you must go through them the right way. Their coming is an assured reality, and there is a way out. You must learn the act of patiently waiting on God’s assurance to see you through, no matter how stormy it looks in the present. And lastly, the powerhouse that ensures we can remain true to numbers one and two is that we keep prayers constant. You must learn to constantly touch the divine presence where strength and power to continue a victorious run is obtained. These three will keep you preserved until the day of the Lord’s appearance.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word of instruction as You teach me how to ride above the storms and live the life You have apportioned for me. I pray for the courage to follow these ordinances as I make my victory sustainable. Help me to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and to be a person of constant prayers. I thank You for hearing me, Lord. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
