Inspiration
Christ's sacrificial act of giving Himself for us is the ultimate expression of redemption, purifying us from all iniquity and setting us apart as a special people zealous for good works. Redemption is not only about forgiveness but about being transformed—set apart for a purpose greater than ourselves. Through His sacrifice, we are purified and called to be zealous in doing good works. This zeal is not just a passing emotion but a reflection of our faith and commitment to living according to God’s will. As believers, we are to live as a peculiar people, distinct from the world in our love, service, and good deeds. We are not saved by our works, but our salvation should lead us to a life marked by zealous service to God and others. This verse challenges us to reflect on how we live our lives: Are we zealous for good works? Are our actions a reflection of the redemption we have received?
