But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you speaks to the reassuring promise of redemption. Despite the fears, doubts, and trials we face, God reminds us of His loving sovereignty. He, the Creator of all, knows us intimately and has already secured our redemption through Christ. The promise of being redeemed should give us confidence that no matter what we face, we are not abandoned or forgotten. In times of trouble or fear, it is vital to remember that we belong to God, who has promised to protect, guide, and redeem us. His plan for us is good, and His presence with us offers comfort and peace in every circumstance. When we remember our identity as God’s redeemed people, we can face life's challenges without fear, knowing we are covered by His grace.
