Inspiration
In life, there are certain things that happen to us that we do not understand, nor can we explain. We don't understand their significance in our lives, so we become indifferent towards them. We may not pay so much attention to them at present, but in the long run, we will understand their importance to our lives. Our God is omniscient, which implies that He knows all things, even the end from the beginning. By His foreknowledge, He orchestrates the events in our lives according to His eternal purpose for us. Before our salvation experience, we allowed fate or our reasoning to dictate the direction of our lives. We were ignorant of God's plans and purposes because we were blinded to the truth by the gods of this world. But when we were saved, the veil was removed, and God's light found entry into our lives so we could pursue the purpose for which we were called. As we progress in our walk with God, we intensify our fellowship with the Holy Spirit, who knows all the 'mysteries' of our lives. We are able to grasp the significance of our experiences, whether they are good or bad. Just like Job, we should trust that God understands the reason for their occurrence, thereby causing everything to work out for our good. We don't have to know and understand everything because we have a God who does.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You for delivering me from the darkness that has prevented me from seeing the light of the gospel. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who brings me to understand the things that You have prepared for me. Help me trust You even when I don't understand what's going on around me, and I ask for grace to submit to Your will in everything I do. Please help me grow in grace and let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
