Inspiration
According to God's instructions for the tabernacle, the temple included two partitioned areas covered with curtains. Due to the layout of the temple, only Zechariah could see this angelic visitor. It is clear to him that the angel is standing in a particular location. Then, good news arrives for Zechariah and Elizabeth: the angel tells Zechariah that they will have a child soon. We are unlikely to be visited in the same manner as Zacharias, as God deals with each of His children differently, and He speaks to us in different ways and at different times. In most cases, He communicates with us through His Word. However, there may be times when, in His mercy, He uses a friend's wisdom or gently directs us on the path that we should take through the Holy Spirit. No matter what situation or circumstance we find ourselves in, let us listen for His still, small voice, and let us trust His Word implicitly, knowing that He knows the way we should go as long as we are willing to listen.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, may Your Word become increasingly relevant to me, and may I be more responsive to Your guidance and leading. I ask You to help me discern the various messengers You graciously place in my path so that I may hear Your still, small voice within my heart. During each passing day, I pray that I will grow closer to You and be able to hear Your words more clearly. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
