Proverbs 3:7

Inspiration
Biblical wisdom sees life from God's perspective. When we try to rationalize everything in our lives, we have turned our walk with God into an intellectual pursuit rather than a living relationship with God. As seen in Proverbs 3:5-7, God wants us not to lean on our own understanding but to trust in him wholeheartedly, seek the Lord in everything we do, fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. When an unbeliever fears God, they are afraid of God's judgment and eternal death. Fear of God as a believer is a reverent awe of God's holiness, majesty, and supreme power. Proverbs 1:7 declares, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge." Until we understand who God is and develop a reverential fear of Him, we cannot have true wisdom. True wisdom comes only from understanding who God is and that He is holy, just, and righteous. In the fear of God, we respect, obey, submit to, and worship Him in awe.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Your wisdom is matchless and Your holiness is incomparable. Thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to my feet. And thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who guides me into all truth. Help me to always seek Your wisdom in all I do and to obey You. May You strengthen my will to resist temptation and deepen my wisdom to see evil for what it truly is. LORD bless me with wisdom and strength. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
