Inspiration
Anger and wrath only lead to destruction, but when we choose to cease from anger, we open ourselves up to peace and self-control. This verse encourages us to let go of the urge to retaliate or lash out when wronged. Instead, we are to choose humility and allow God’s peace to guard our hearts. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and it allows us to respond in a way that honors God, even in difficult situations. When we do not give in to anger, we avoid escalating conflict and instead promote peace. This requires trust in God, knowing that He is in control and will work out all things for our good. Choosing peace over wrath demonstrates our faith in God’s ability to handle our situations and brings honor to Him.
