Inspiration
For racing drivers, there is nothing more frustrating than being stuck on a pit road awaiting repairs while the rest of the drivers race past. The longer they sit, the more difficult it is for them to reach their goals. But pit road is there for a reason; without skilled technicians to provide fuel, repairs, and other services, the race could fail or even become dangerous. Waiting for God to help us is not easy, especially when we are in despair. But when we do, God draws us near to His heart. God may call us to wait at times in our lives in order to help us work on our health, minds, attitudes, and even our hearts. It is during these pit road experiences that God helps us to discover what has been slowing us down. We can run our race much more effectively once we get back to our "firm place," pursuing our goals with renewed energy. If you find yourself sidelined or in the pits today, it may be that God is at work in your life. The trial of waiting often precedes the receipt of blessings. Our heavenly Father is faithful, and He will not fail you!
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, it is my greatest joy to know that You are always with me. It is so comforting to know that I can lean on You when everything seems to be falling apart. Teach me to wait patiently for You and trust that You always want the very best for me, even when I can't fully understand what You’re doing in my life. Let me be renewed in my strength as I wait on You and put my hope in You. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
