Inspiration
In his letters, Paul often repeats words and ideas to emphasize their importance. He states that we have now been justified by the blood of Christ. It is important to note that verses earlier make clear that we are not, in fact, "righteous" people. The actions we take and the attitudes we adopt indicate that we are not "good." We need to be forgiven and declared righteous by God in order to be reconciled with Him. As Paul argues, if the sacrificial death of Christ has justified us, then how much more will the resurrected life of Christ protect us from the coming wrath of God on all mankind? It is by his sacrificial death that we have been paid for our sins, and by His eternal life, we have been permanently freed from the power of sin and death. By the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, we have not only been justified by faith but have also been assured that we will be kept from all future wrath of God. We were declared righteous by God through His death. As a result of His life, we are guaranteed to live an eternal life in Him, and we receive this assurance by grace through faith in Christ.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, the day I get to see You in all of Your glory and experience Your grace is one of the things I am most looking forward to. As a sinner, I thank You for Your goodness and grace in that Christ died for me and justified me through faith. On top of that, He resurrected me to ensure that I would be free from any future condemnation and wrath. It is only to Him that all glory and praise belongs. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
