Inspiration
The Apostle Paul emphasizes the unity of the Church in Ephesians 4:5, reminding us that there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. These three elements represent the core foundation of the Christian life and the Church’s unity. There is no division in Christ; whether we are Jews or Gentiles, rich or poor, we all share in the same faith, under the same Lord, and through the same baptism. This baptism, whether in water or the Holy Spirit, unites us with Christ and with one another. As Christians, we are all baptized into one body, the body of Christ, and we are all partakers of the same spiritual inheritance. The unity of the Church is reflected in the one baptism that unites believers across all barriers—national, cultural, or economic. This verse is a call to embrace unity in the Church, grounded in our shared faith, baptism, and allegiance to Christ.
