Inspiration
Have you ever felt stressed out by those around you? Whether it’s a coworker, a family member, or a friend, it can be easy to feel stressed about how others are affecting your life and even your relationship with God. However, if the Lord is your helper, why should you fear what people may do? Many times, our perspective on God is not what it should be. We tend to put God in a box that fits our own interpretation, experience, and knowledge of who He is. However, He is so much more than that, and thankfully so! God is more powerful, more divine, and more holy than we could ever imagine. In fact, think for a moment about the fact that He created this entire world by simply speaking it into existence. How powerful must He be if He can do that? Therefore, when you are feeling stressed out about what others may do to you, think about the fact that God is on your side. What He does not allow can never take place. Rest assured that God’s will trumps all things and that He will always sit on the throne of the universe, regardless of what others do to you.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to remember Your power and presence in my daily life. Help me see how powerful You are, and help me throw out my stress. After all, You hold all things in the palm of Your hand, and if You are with me, who can be against me? Even when I am feeling stressed, I can simply lift those things up to You, and You will take care of me. Keep me strong in all things and help me to see where You are working in my life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
