Inspiration
We're living in a time of stress and anxiety. With the advancement of technology, it becomes much easier for us to compare ourselves to others. When we do that, we are often left feeling anxious and depressed. It is so hard to be happy, if not impossible when we chase worldly pleasure and other people's definition of success. In the end, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the best way to prevent anxiety, and true happiness can only be found in the Lord. Trusting God does not mean that you are in denial of truth or danger but that you have placed the issue before God, and you have faith in Him to work it out on your behalf. When our trust is in the Lord our God, no matter how hard the rain falls, how fierce the storm is, or how high the waves are, we will not be moved. Our feet are rooted in the rivers of the Lord's living water, and we can withstand the ups and downs of life with the strength found in the Lord. If you feel extra anxious today, take a deep breath…and let it out slowly…and then do it again. Take a moment to think about something you're grateful for. You are loved!
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, there is no greater joy than knowing that You love me unconditionally and that You will never forsake me or fail me. It's amazing how much You bless those who believe Your Word and put their hope in You. I want to put my trust in You and in You alone. Teach me to live by faith and not by sight. Help me to always put You at the center of my life and never depart from You. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
