Inspiration
The symbol of light represents life, knowledge, and goodness. This verse reminds us that Jesus is the true light. The only real and true light is Christ, the one and only, absolutely perfect and perfect at all times. Additionally, unlike the Law of Moses, which was given only to the people of Israel, this light is given to everyone, everywhere. God has illuminated every human being born into this world since it is not God's intent that anyone perishes. Each of us receives the light of creation from the outside, and each of us is also given the light of conscience from the inside. Because of the light that humanity has received from God, all are responsible before Him. This is because all possess the knowledge that God exists. However, many refuse to acknowledge this truth. Nevertheless, we are God's adopted children since we have trusted in the Lord Jesus as our Savior and received the light of life in our hearts. It is God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, who has shone into our hearts to enable us to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Thus, we should set our affections on things above and walk in the light as He is in the light.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for placing Your Holy Spirit in our hearts to lead, direct, govern, and train us. Thank You for giving the light to everyone, to the entire world. My Lord, help me to walk in Your love and truth, and may the beauty of Christ shine through my life so that others may also gain a saving knowledge of our Savior, who is the true and only light and in Whom is everlasting life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
